COVID-19 Safety at the Harris Center

Safety Requirements Updated January 12, 2022

The Harris Center for the Arts and Folsom Lake College are committed to providing healthy and safe facilities for audiences, performers, volunteers, and staff.

In the interest of providing the safest environment possible for all and to follow the California Department of Public Health requirements, the Harris Center will require the following:

  1. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination for all event attendees 12 years of age or older. “Fully vaccinated” means the final COVID-19 vaccine dose is administered at least 14 days prior to arrival at the HCA. Children under 12 and those who self-attest to a medical or religious exemption may provide a negative test result, see number 2 below for testing requirements.
  2. If not vaccinated, COVID testing is required* for all event attendees 2 years of age or older and tests must be taken within 1 day of performance time for a rapid antigen test or 2 days of performance time for a PCR test. Rapid antigen tests may not be administered at home.

Attendees will be required to:

Show proof of vaccination with one of the following: CDC Vaccination Card, photo of the vaccination card on a cell phone, or State of California digital COVID-19 vaccine record using the My Vaccine Record App.

To show proof of vaccination or negative COVID test result, patrons must also bring a photo ID matching the name on your vaccine record or negative test result. A photo ID will not be required for minors who are accompanied by an adult. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your performance to allow the Harris Center ushers to check proof of vaccination and assist in seating you before curtain time.

Masks must be worn at all times in shared indoor spaces regardless of vaccination status. Masks must cover both the nose and mouth. Acceptable masks are surgical/paper, cloth, or (K) N95. Bandanas, gaiters, and masks with external valves are not permitted. Face shields alone are not adequate protection.

*Proof of Negative COVID test requirements

PCR or rapid antigen test results will be accepted, as long as the PCR test is taken within 2 days of your performance time and the rapid antigen test is taken 1 day prior to performance time. Negative test result documentation must be in writing and from a medical professional or laboratory. A photo of your negative result documentation will also be accepted.

Home test results will not be accepted.

The COVID-19 pandemic is fluid and ever-changing. Current safety protocols will be re-assessed on an on going basis and may be modified at any time as circumstances, public health regulations and federal, state, and local guidelines may evolve.
