Student Musician Opportunities, Education, and more!
With our community outreach program, The Folsom Lake Symphony seeks to provide Access, Opportunity and Education to citizens within our region and to provide special assistance to the under served and those who will benefit significantly by the experience of music in their lives. Concert and special dress rehearsal access to students and seniors, ushering, internship and volunteer programs are all provided to give students and adults exposure to and experience with this exciting arts organization, engendering their lives with a satisfying artful experience and supplying work experiences for the future. Student musician opportunities are available to highly qualified young players who show promise and desire experience in performance. Opportunity for underserved entry level players to experience learning and playing stringed instruments in local middle schools is provided for by our Instrument Acquisition Program. The Folsom Lake Symphony educational programs are under development and feature components that will introduce new generations of students to classical music and will augment the programs available in the local educational system. Musician and instrument visits, traveling performances and creative lessons are all parts of this program, available as funding permits.
The Folsom Lake Symphony exists as a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization and is governed by a board of directors. Its economy is supported by ticket sales, private and business donors and sponsors, and in-kind contributions.
