Miriana Cota was born in Romania and started her musical journey at the age of 6 years old at the “Ion Vidu” National College of Music, a vocational school in her hometown where she studied the violin, piano, and music theory. Miriana participated in many violin and music theory competitions, winning various prizes every year, both nationally and internationally. She began being part of her school orchestra in 7th grade, becoming the concert master by her senior year. Beside her school’s orchestra, Miriana also played with her hometown’s Conservatory of Music’s orchestra in different European tours. Prior to her moving to the United States in 2014, Miriana also collaborated with the International Romanian-Genevan Christian Orchestra and BYSIOC Orchestra in England, as well as perform as a soloist with the Philharmonic of Timisoara. In the United States, she has had the opportunity to become a part of the Folsom Lake Symphony and other various music groups around the area .
