Lindsay, a 16-year-old Junior in High School, began playing the violin at the age of 3, starting with a tissue box and a ruler. Although it was a bit of a rough start (including many tantrums and refusals to practice), she has had a love and passion for music since the beginning. She joined the Sacramento Youth Symphony at age 9, and played with them for 6 years. Due to an unexpected change of plans, she took a break from SYS and joined the Folsom Lake Symphony, which ended up being a wonderful experience. This year she re-joined the youth symphony as Co-Concertmaster of the Premier Orchestra, and is enjoying her second year with the Folsom Lake Symphony. She also loves playing the piano and will complete Level 8 of the Certificate of Merit program in the Spring. Lindsay enjoys teaching private violin and piano lessons in her home. She loves singing with her mom and playing duets with her three younger brothers. She hopes to Major in Violin Performance at Brigham Young University in the Fall of 2018.
