After the concert, join us in the lobby for our ever-popular Instrument Petting Zoo, where children can get hands-on experience trying orchestral instruments with guidance from symphony musicians.

Omari Tau is a versatile performing artist, educator, director, and composer with more than 30 years of experience in the arts. Equally at home narrating and singing, he has toured internationally with the company of Disney’s The Lion King and has appeared in productions at numerous Tony Award–winning theaters, as well as on a variety of recordings.
He holds degrees from Michigan State University and the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston, and moves seamlessly between operatic and musical theatre repertoire, as well as jazz and pop genres.
A Sacramento native, Tau is the Co-Founding Artistic Director of Rogue Music Project, a Professor of Vocal Music at Cosumnes River College, and a member of the band Solabel.
