Allison Keller, bass

Allison Keller is a junior in high school as of the 2020-2021 school year. She started her musical passion at the young age of 6 when she started playing guitar with private teacher, Robert Aragon. She then started playing electric bass in the fifth grade under the direction of Diana Gonter. In December of 2016, she began playing double bass and assisted her private bass instructor, Greg Brucker, in the Prelude and Vivace groups of the Sacramento Youth Symphony. She auditioned for the Sacramento Youth Symphony shortly thereafter and joined the Academic String Orchestra. After one season, she auditioned and joined the Premier Orchestra, and became Principal String Bass player under the direction of Maestro Michael Neumann. She also continues her position for the second consecutive year in Premier, now led by Ryan Murray. In addition to her duties with the Premier Orchestra and high school band, she also lent her skills to the Sacramento Youth Symphony’s Summer Chamber Music Program where she was a mentor in 2019, under the direction of Susan Lamb Cook. She now continues her musical journey as a part of the Folsom Lake Symphony and has big hopes for the future with college and a career in music.
