Come and experience the music of your favorite heroes and villains with the Folsom Lake Symphony!

Heroes and Villains – Saturday, June 1, 2019, 7:30pm and Sunday, June 2, 2:00 PM at the Harris Center for the Arts, Folsom, California. The Folsom Lake Symphony and Peter Jaffe, Music Director and Conductor, present an exciting and adventurous performance full of the best of the movies – musical themes of our favorite heroes and villains!

With the most famous and watched movies of our time comes some of the most recognizable and enjoyed movie music, the symphony will bring the Harris Center for the Arts to life with selections that the audience will know and love.

Thrill to John Williams’ “Superman March,” “Flying Theme” from ET, “Raiders March” from Raiders of the Lost Ark, the “Imperial March (Darth Vader)” from Star Wars, and Harry’s Wonderous World” from Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone. Also Elfman’s “Theme from Batman,” Gregson-Williams’ “Theme from Wonder Woman,” and a variety of James Bond film music, plus more.

Adding to an extraordinary evening with the Folsom Lake Symphony, soprano Glory Parsons will be featured, singing pieces from James Bond movie classics including Conti’s “For Your Eyes Only” and John Barry’s “Gold Finger,” as well as Mozart’s “Queen of the Night” aria from The Magic Flute, and more.

Glory ParsonsGlory Parsons is delighted to be appearing as a guest soloist with the Folsom Lake Symphony. Growing up in Orange County, she has an extensive background in musical theater, with some of her more prominent rolls including Eliza Doolittle in “My Fair Lady” at Meridian Little Theater, Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz” and Annie Sullivan in “The Miracle Worker,” each with Broadway On Tour.  Ms Parsons also co-starred in dancing roles in “42nd Street” and “Will Rogers Follies,” both at the award winning La Mirada Theatre.  She has performed in numerous shows and concerts with the group “Broadway On Tour”. Her most recent concert appearance was with regional ballet favorite Pamela Hayes Classic Ballet, in “Classical Ballet in the Park” in Folsom, California. A resident of Placerville, California, Ms. Parsons studied under professional opera singer Jill Goodsell.
