Catrina Martin

Love of music has been part of Catrina Martin’s life since the time she was very young.  She learned to play the violin, piano and guitar, along with voice lessons and dancing lessons of every kind.  She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Music from Brigham Young University.  While at BYU, she sang and danced in a group called “Program Bureau,” which later became known as Young Ambassadors.  She has entertained all over the United Sates and, for the State Department, all over Asia.  Catrina and her husband, Mort, entertained together, professionally for over 20 years, from rock bands to a show with their five children, called “The Martins.” Her musical career took another turn as she played the leading role in many Broadway musicals, such as The King and I, Annie, Joseph and His Technicolor Dream Coat, and others.

She has directed many choirs, from church to community, including productions of Handel’s “Messiah” and the annual “Interfaith Easter Concert.” She has been the concertmaster for Valley Choral Society, and plays the violin with Folsom Lake Symphony.
